Bunny Suit Kallen. Geass was always a huge pile of pandering amusement, but now they’ve gone too far.
They’ve hit my weak spot.

This is from Famitsu. Judging by the pictures and bit of text I can read, it’s going to be a 3D “melee action” game. And it’s on the 360.
It mentions something about ‘Real Time’ on the right hand side. I wish the scan was bigger because I can’t read most of the other stuff (not like I’d be able to read much anyway). The other guy who isn’t Sol is named ‘Sin’, which is printed clearly in roman letters.
Curious, they’re calling it “Guilty Gear 2″ as if it’s the direction the series is going in. Hopefully some more information will surface soon, but right now I am not impressed.

There are several reports on this out there by now, but I’ll link to this one from Joystiq.
What’s happening is Sony France’s boss mentioned that the exclusivity of FF13 is ‘in discussion’. The article brings up a good point: was FF ever exclusive anyway? Most of us know FF7 and FF8 were on the PC not too long after the PS1 version came out. It could be that the later games were ‘only on playstation’ because it was most profitable for them to keep it there and not bother with porting it over. If they saw an opportunity to make some more money with a port, I’m sure they would have done it (FF11).
That could be the situation FF13 is in. No one is really sure if having their game ‘only on PS3′ (or any system for that matter) is really profitable. The PS2 had a commanding lead in the outgoing generation, so FF could sit pretty on PS2 and not have to worry about making money. PS3 doesn’t have that guarantee of profit at this point, and it still may not by time FF13 comes out.
If Sony wants to keep FF13 as an exclusive this time, they may have to pay up. No longer do they have the luxury of saying “Your Game + Playstation = $$$.” Judging from recent announcements–beyond Devil May Cry and Ace Combat–Sony hasn’t fought hard enough (if at all) to keep some of its prior exclusives. Final Fantasy is one of their only remaining established heavy-hitters. From what I understand, Sony owns some small stock in Square-Enix, so I’d imagine they’d hold on extra tight to this one.
There’s a VideoCast starting tonight, put on by BangZoom Ent. It’ll be hosted by Johnny Bosch (voice of Itsuki, Vash the Stampede, etc) and will feature a sneak peek at the English dub of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.
This will apparently be officially released on several platforms, including YouTube and iTunes. If you go to the site now, you can see a couple of silly commercials for it, featuring Johnny Bosch.
I’m really looking forward to seeing what the dub for Suzumiya is going to sound like.
I’m a bit of a videophile. Not quite a ‘graphics whore’, but if I can get a game to look good, I will. ‘Back in the day’, I had component cables for my Xbox, my PS2, and my Gamecube. My TV, however, only has 2 component inputs. So for a while, I had to juggle between them, though usually it was the Gamecube that was unplugged unless I was playing F-Zero or Resident Evil or something.
Then I got this component cable splitter that plugged into both the PS2 and the Xbox, leaving the other slot free for the Gamecube. I was happy.
Enter the Xbox 360, with its HD component cable goodness. Gamecube, what little I played of it then, was completely relegated to front-of-the-screen SD plugin. It wasn’t that big of a deal, because I didn’t really play it much anymore.
Now comes the Wii, with its component cable. The 360 and the Wii are now taking both of the Component slots, and I’m forced to PS2 in muddy SD. This really struck me the other day when I played Soul Calibur 3 for the first time since I got my Wii, and it looked *terrible*.
Now, browsing through my favourite import site, I see this cable set. A multi-cable for the PS2, Xbox 360 and the Wii! Perfection! It also works for PS3, but that’s less of an issue for me (a: don’t have a PS3, b: when I do I’ll be using my HDMI port).
Nope, it doesn’t work on the GC or the Xbox, but those systems are almost completely obsolete now.
